United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Fuji White

hey john, as much as I, and a few other folk on here, would love that to work AFAIK nobody has made a double DIN faceplate for the FL2. Unless of cours your planning to put the screen in the "cubby hole" that we have in lieu of sat nav. Thumbs Up

So Part reference: CAW1260-01 is wrong?

Thanks

It could be

It says 2004 onwards, I think this may be for the freelander 1, not the FL2 which is 2006 on

It's odd, after hours of searching I have found zero info on people who have tried to upgrade FL2 head unit. Really odd....

i would head to a quality ICE company and see what they can come up with, might be able to prefab something like "pimp my ride UK"

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

I was talking to one of the technicians at my local stealer about ICE upgrades, this has been a consideration for me. He told me that the head unit contains more than straight forward radio/cd player and that some of the head unit functions internact with the 'other' computers in the cars management systems to the extent that it isn't possible to change for aftermarket units. It is not even possible to upgrade with LR, there are no options. I've spoken to one local ICE specialist who said there were no options he could offer. If you find that it is possible I'd be interested to know units you use.

Above is true-but you can disconnect CD player and hide the faceplate w/o disconnecting it, also leave factory amp connected too, then install aftermarket AV/Sound system, and splice into speaker wires after the OEM AMP.
