Passenger air bag warning light

My passenger air bag deactivated warning light has started coming on each time I turn the ignition on. I have not reset anything, and the switch for it is turned on?

Any ideas or am I off to the Main Stealer to get it fixed?

You don't mean it comes on with ignition and then goes off?

airbag light

The passenger airbag deactivated lights on our 08 GS, along with all the other lamps, when the ignition comes on. As the check sequence goes through, it goes out again. I think this is normal self testing, and if this is what yours does, you probably have no problem. As it's out on it's own, above eye level, you may be like me and not notice it every time? Don't think I actually noticed it for a week after purchase! Embarassed

Hi,

Stays on for a while then goes off. It has only just started lighting up at all. 1998 300TDi Auto Disco, never to be forgotten.

Yep, mine has always done this, stays on slightly longer than all the other bulb test lights in the dash.

This is normal. It may have done it before without your noticing.

PR - I was the same as you and posted a few months ago the exact same question. I had just not noticed it before as it is not in a place you normally look when starting the car.
