Ooops - help

guys

first time for me - I'm from the dark side (D3 not RRS) mother has just pranged her new FL2 - 2010 facelift model. Both passanger side doors badly scored & dented. She's not happy but at least none ones hurt Crying or Very sad

Can anyone advise if doors from previous model are the same - there's a few on ebay for 2006-9 models which if they fit could be sprayed and swapped over. Failing that, guess it's a insurance job Big Cry Big Cry

thanks

Think I'd be claiming off the insurance for a 2010MY. In honesty, you can't be serious? your having a laugh? Wink

True, but if you muck it up, it could be expensive.

Having just had a prang repaired on our model year 2010, would recommend you use an LR Approved Bodyshop to A) preserve your warranty and B) make sure there is no other damage to structural parts. The bodyshop we used was excellent and they have done an invisible replacement of the rear quarter panel and bumper and matched the paint absolutely spot-on. There is a full list on the LR website, just search for dealers and it says which ones are bodyshops, failing that, ask your local dealer. You don't have to settle for the insurance company's 'approved' bodyshop and most will give you a courtesy car anyway as they will be getting the business.

Surely the best solution is to be more careful and not have the prang to start with, remember one also has to drive for others on the road these days and not just yourself Rolling Eyes I was only wrong once and thats when I thought I was but wasnt.

Mona Geeza - You're right, the best thing to do is avoid having a prang all together. However, the odds are that even the safest and most careful driver is likely to have an accident at some point in their driving career. I hope for your sake you never have one as it is a lot of aggravation sorting it out.
