Okay, I should have said a more accurate indicator like every other car I have owned, including the two FL1s which would go down to the bottom of the gauge when on a long run. Andyfr

The way it's going with Go Juice, none of us will be able to afford to actuallyu drive the thing. Still it will look nice on the drive. Seriously, the price of diesel wont go down, so how long before we are forced to buy something that does 80mpg and gets free excise?

The low fuel warning light comes up on mine and the information screen displays 40 miles left and it is only halfway between empty and a quarter of a tank. Evil or Very Mad

Update on mine, filled today with 63 litres of BP, the display information centre reads Range 32 miles which is about right with 5 litres remaining in the tank, but the guage still sits halfway between empty and a quarter. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Rimini Red

I had a faulty tank readout on my 57 SE a week or so after I bought it. Gauge went down to zero as did range despite tank being a quarter full. Few minutes later back to normal. Repeated several times then intermittantly. Sorted by dealer, I had thought a mechanical problem (stuck float) but think it was actually an electrical fault. Sounds like something similar ad210358..... Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

I don't see it has a problem, I see the gauge count down as being accurate 63 litres put in, so five litres in the tank with a range of 36 miles, that bit is correct, I would expect the needle on the gauge to be a little lower though, now I know where the needle sits when I have 5 litres left. Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
