Snowboarding

I have noticed a few people like my self mention snowboarding

I am after a new set of bindings, possibly and new jacket aswell

Have you come across any good websites with 2008 stock on sale. Question

Found the jacket and bindings i'm thinking about £180 cheaper in the USA but won't ship to the UK due to contract with Burton, obviously there would be import tax and P&P on this too, but still would be cheaper

Not FL2 topic but you never know Embarassed

How well does HDC work with a snow board ? Is this one mother of a snow board? or one in each corner? Rolling with laughter

Might be worth buying one of the snowboarding mags, I get Document Snowboard, and there's always loads of adverts to companies selling cheap gear, although the bargins are always a season old, like anything, if you don't need it to be brand new, then you'll get a bargin.

The other option is to get a cheap flight to US, buy 3 or 4 times more stuff than you need, and sell the others when you get back, to cover the flight. Just don't tell customs Whistle maye you could wear 4 coats, and 4 pairs of trousers, so they won't see them when searching your suitcase. Laughing

Thought about a quick trip to the burton superstore at NYC, flight for £250, buy the new Outlast Tech jacket, Triad Bindings and some trousers and then home again,

Before my trip might see what discount can be sorted as I know 3 friend who what more kit this year, and I know my brother will get 10% off at a local store, so if we all go together we might spend more so get a bigger discount

All this cause i bought a new board and helmet at the end of last season, now i want new everything else

Just saw this thread as I dont venture into OT often. I'm a HUGE snowboarding fan although my self-belief vastly outweighs my actual abilities! Rolling with laughter

Re US to UK imports, Burton have always threatened US companies that if they are found to be shipping internationally then they'll pull their products. You also have the "throw a six to pay import duty" too which further diminish any savings made. At the risk of sounding socialist...Support your local store!! These guys usually have the knowledge and expertise to make sure you get all the right kit. I get a standard 10% off my local (and some not so local) shops because I use them and they now know me. but it's not that difficult to sort this out with any independent.

I have supported my local store, well local as the computer infront of me, got my 10% off a UK dealer, decided shopping in the US wasn't worth the hassle and didn't want to give 2 jags another reason to by his 3rd.

got some Burton Triad binding from SS20.co.uk to go with my new Palmer Carbon Circle 2,

Told them I was a Snowboard Club of Great Britain member, (My brother is) and gave me 10% off

I now want some pants, possible, Burton Cargo or Westbeach Upper Levels, and getting some Forcefield Impart shorts.

Then wait for the snow in France to come along, and the snow in Scotland for a quick trip up there too.

I had a palmer carbon circle last year as a loan form my local shop while my nitro board was in for repair, I thought it was going to be very stiff, and it was, but the pop off the tail was fantastic and took me by surprise. Then again I am a largish chap so that may have helped. IMO you can't go wrong with bonfire techwear. Top spec and really well priced. Impact shorts are a must too but I'm not a big fan of the new red "surf" style ones. I've got the old mesh ones and they have litterally saved my ass a few times.

hoping to test the FL2 on a snowy glencoe this year!!! Thumbs Up MY11 Fuji white Td4 150 GS straight up no mixer.

Definaltly getting the impact pant as it was really icey, last year and had a few bad falls.

So this year i have my impact pants, New RED frequency Motorola Helmet to keep me safe.
