Has anyone gone from an 08MY to 11MY?

I'm taking delivery of my 2.2TD HSE 11MY at the beginning of March (not an SD4). My trade in is an 08 SE. I was wondering if anyone has done similiar. If so what do you like about the new MY compared with the previous? The only thing extra that I think I'm getting from my SE-HSE is a leather interior.
Thanks Smile

England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

I went from an 07SE to an 11XS both TD4 manual
Biggest difference is the fuel consumption which is averaging 38.7 mpg on a mix of A and B roads with some dual carriageway after 2500 miles. New vehicle is definitely quieter and seems to give a smoother ride. 11XS is almost identical trim wise to the 07SE except for sunroof and 6 CD autochange (both added as extra) as were armrests.
Overall I think the MY11 is a better vehicle, not that the 07 was bad.

Without being too nosey, what was the cost of that with those extra's? That would be my ideal model.

No problem - the prices are available on the Land Rover website under the build your own function.

Sunroof is £915, 6CD autochange is £300, armrest pack (includes rear as well) is £205.
DAB radio is £205 and Zenon self levelling headlamps are £710.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Rimini Red

I went from a MY07 SE to a MY10 HSE, differences spotted to date
Leather, or rather more part leather but nice in Ebony
Dab and 2.1 surround sound, 5 extra speakers
Armrests (bit of a nuisance?)
Real time fuel consumption read out (great fun to see the huge range depending where your right foot is!)
Power socket in boot
Memory setting and more electric adjustment for drivers seat, fiddly to work the memory
Dipping rear view mirrors whilst in reverse, set through memory seat
Extra settings on aircon unit
Naff fake wood trim to facia
Covered storage box between front seats (actually gives less storage space)
Rear spoiler and colour coded ltrim to bottom of doors
Rear entertainment controls no longer provided, little used according to dealer hence deleted.
Hope this is useful
NB I am not a saddo!
JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

Another thing deleted from newer FL2's are the front kangeroo pockets. With the limited storage space I loved these for putting keys, change sweets etc in, why delete them? (except to save a few pence)
