[Rant on]
My feeling is that if you do not like the way a thread is going then stay away from it. If a thread is hijacked and you don't like it, I say it is better to keep your comments to yourself because you know people are going to respond to any comments you have and that will just move the discussion further off-topic than it already was..............

Look at this thread as an example there are more posts about correct forum humour than there are about the SE question or even the SEX trim.

If somebody drops in humour that is unbecoming then I will simply look past it as I believe the forum is a space away from our everyday stuff and that written text can often not sound the way it did when we said or thought it.

As Nick says we should try to respect one another on here.......but bear in mind you should respect me more

I can't go out 'cos I don't have my LR2 yet and I'd miss the forum too much....and I'm sure my parents did have a good long think about it when I popped out

I remember now, I thought there were 6 models, then on checking found there were only 5 as S is effectively the base model in the UK. I then forgot to change number quoted, as you do!

Anyway, I think I agree ... we have just about exhausted all aspects of this string  Life is not a dress rehearsal!
