Scotland 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Biscay Blue

My other car is a Mercedes S320 flagship model ( air suspension) needless to say the ride is exceptionally smooth.

I think my 2010 HSE FL2 is a great vehicle as a 4x4. I dont expect the same ride as my MB, I have confidence on the roads in my FL2 which are littered with pot holes.........thats one of the reasons I got a Land Rover. Its for off road use, thats mainly why I got it for occasional driving in fields etc. Thumbs Up

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Rimini Red

Hi Brian,
Unfortunately I didn't get the measure of the dealer until things started to go wrong. Initially it seemed really nice and straight forward. They were....I'll say 'evasive' once things started going wrong.

I have a question too: The problem with the steering (I'm led to believe) is a fairly common fault caused by the front drive shaft which causes the steering to oscillate. If the dealer knows there is a problem afetr they have taken the car in, do they have to stand the cost? But if they can sell it on and the new owner throws up the problem, can the dealer then divert the cost elsewhere under the warranty perhaps???

I'm just keen to know why I was sold a car with a fault I flagged up, they 'checked' it (my arse) and said it was fine, but the fault was still there. It wasn't as though the fault was even hard to notice. Quite the opposite, it was very reliable!!! Rolling with laughter
