After a very brief look on my iPhone at halfirds

I couldn't see any machine polishes, though they did list a couple of polishes, just make sure they are not abrasive hand polishes, as with a machine you could do a little damage

In the past I have used Auto glym super resin polish with my DA

Hi npinks - you got me thinking with the question what polish was I going to use as I didn't realise that there where different ones for machines, but having spent some time on the meguiars forum my question was answered, yes the three stage megs polish in Halfords is ok to use with the machine though they did recomend using NXT2.0 on dark paint work.

When you have polished, prolong the finish with a last stage product, like a wax or sealent

Hi Zoey, the Porter Cable is a great tool, but sadly for us Euros it runs on 110v, for us to use one we need to add in the cost of a transformer, which makes the price very uncompetitive.

The other machines discussed previously on the forum run on our 240v supply and work out a fair bit cheaper than the venerable Porter Cable.

You must try a Yorkshire Pudding..... Proper beef gravy poured over and a sprinkling of sugar on top I have 4 last night with some stew

There easy to make, just cook your pancake mixture in the bun silicone bun case in the oven at 200C, making sure your oven is hot and the bun case is preheated with just a splash of oil in the bottom Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

My grand parents were from Devon and whenever we had lamb for dinner they'd serve it with a baked suet pudding containing sugar and sultanas along with the usual mint sauce. Yummy
