2011 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Santorini Black
Broken already but fixed quickly (Q120)

Starting last night, engine died immediately with a 'Reduced Performance' message and an orange light. Started again no problem but was in limp mode; max 2,500 revs, autobox hardly changing out of 2nd gear. Went to where I had to go and struggled to get back up the hill to my house.

This morning 9.30 started engine again, light and message still on. The car is listed on TOPIx for Q120.

Rang Landrover Assistance, told them the problem. Guy turns up 1hr later armed with laptop, 20 minutes later all fixed.

Unhappy that it should have the fault but you can't complain about the service. Trevor

England 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey

I have now had this fault 4 times with exactly the symptoms as described above. (MY11 manual). LRA have now attended 4 times and it has been to dealers 4 times. It has the latest software upgrade and today they found a pipe near the dpf sensor was not pushed fully home. Am running it now to see if the fault repeats. Last time it managed 6 trouble free weeks.
