Battery replacement

My HSE Manual is coming up for its 4th birthday and the battery is struggling a bit so thought I'd replace it.

If I change myself am I likely to run into probems with all the electronic stuff?

I'm aware that garages may connect a power supply whilst changing to avoid problems.....would like to hear if anyone changed themselves without a power souce.

Cheers

No problem doing it yourself. You'll have to reset the clock on the CD and the service indicator. A simple post on here about how to do it.

No, never had to reset the windows and I've disconnected the battery about 8-10 times.

Did mine a couple of months back now. Easiest way around any issues regarding resetting stuff is to plug a memory saver into the 12v socket. I dd that and all bar the windows, everything was saved. Thanks guys. Took the risk and used no external power supply.
Just Clock and Windows needed re-setting, as advised.
