Could be the shoes binding causing the mal adjustment...

seems I spoke too soon! although I no longer need to pull the lever through the roof, it seems it has made no difference to the handbrake actually holding. its starts to roll back even when parked on the drive, and that's almost flat! Looks like a trip to the stealers! b*ll*cks!

Have you tried bedding the brake shoes in - sounds daft I know bt there is a procedure on here somewhere for doing it... It goes along the lines of pulling the handbrake on gently whilst moving along at about 30mph for a few seconds or something

tried the bedding in procedure, but it didn't make any difference. |
