Interior light - map reading

Just purchased the interior light with map lights as an upgrade to my 08 FL2 SE. Any hints on fitting or tricky bits ? Incidentally, it was only £15.62 inc 20% VAT from the local dealer. Part number LLR006480

Just done mine takes 2 minutes.

First take a look at the new one, you can see (and try) that the lens just pulls off. The light is held in the recess with the spring clip. There are three plugs that carry the power - don't worry at this stage it becomes abundantly clear.
Using a blunt flat bladed screwdriver (or Yale key in my case) prise off the lense - really easy as it is meant to come off for bulb changes.
Next using same screwdriver gently prise the lamp fitting out of the hole - remember it is only shoved in and held by the spring as on the new one in your hands.
It will drop down on the wires, change the three plugs one at a time.
Shove it back in the hole - test, done

Beats me why it wasn't standard from day one, if the new one retails at £15 it must cost LR £7.50 max, the original would cost at least 2/3rds that so for the sake of £2.50 we got a cheap looking inferior product. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner
