Hi npinks

Liked the look of the upgrades and have just got the new bulbs, but, although the door puddle bulb change was easy, I am having trouble getting to the door mirror ones.....Any tips please.

Thanks.

Thanks CG, I take it from the pic that it is furthest edge from the car that you lever.

From memory it's the out edge, insert a thin blade, I used a pointy knife and pushed in slightly and prised out Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Hello Npinks

How are you gotting on with all the LED bulbs you've swapped?

I changed my sidelights yesterday for 8 led t10's and fitted ultra white xenon gas H7's to match they look a good match both really white and not too taxi cab blue!

I now fancy doing the door and mirror lights like you have. Are the bulbs you fitted the error free type (i looked on the link you mentioned and they don't mention about error free) or can you use any on the door/mirror bulbs like the ones on ebay?

cheers

Non error free ones, and they have not flashed or anything so I would say there is no need to got to the extra expense

It looks a lot better too, when it's dark and your click the unlock button And it illuminates in a nice crisp white, I think it looks so much better and have a little smile Cool Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I fitted the same Bulbs as mentioned above from HIDS4U. Thought I'd try them in the sidelights first "wasn't expecting them to work" and as expected, I had the canbus error "bulb flashing rapidly" so went back to the flea bay l.e.d's.
Tried them in the door puddle lamps next "both ways around" and just had one very brief flash from the l.e.d then nothing more. Replaced the standard bulb and everything as normal.
Next up were the under mirror lights, resulting in the same symptoms as the puddle lights, one flash and they're out. Replaced all standard bulbs and everything back to normal.

The l.e.d's are now being put to good use over the rear number plate, which now matches the front when driving around on sidelights.

Not sure why they won't work, but I ordered the white version and received a colourless version "clear plastic" so maybe they have changed supplier.

Thought it worth mentioning just in case anyone else is thinking of fitting them, they do look nice as number plate lights though. Thumbs Up

I've been trying to take off the plastic cover under my wing mirror but I am having trouble getting them off - only getting cracks developing - they just wont budge! It's almost like they are sealed. They don't look like CG's above.

Are these the same covers as what everyone else has got? or am I "special"!

Cheers for any help.
