I recently received an orange "Engine System Fault" message which stated "Reduced Engine Performance". Over the following few days fuel consumption appeared to increase and engine power reduce slightly. The dealer diagnosed the message which indicated reduced voltage to the fuel pump. However, the dealer could not find any hardware fault and was informed by LR to upload the latest software for the ECU. The patch/software was referred to as Q120.

Q120 refers only to MY2011 cars equipped with DPF.

Mine was just throwing up the warning light (it's an 2008). I just restarted it and it was fine from there. The dealer told me there was an upgrade for it, but didn't specify the code. |

2007 TD4 Manual, 35k. Last few days it has come up with, on a couple of occasions after starting:- Reduced Engine Performance and HDC Not Available. Once moving they have disappeared and there has not been any noticeable change in performance. Had this a month or so ago in the cold weather but also had the permanent Engine System Fault which forced me to take it to the dealer. They put it down to low battery volts. So I don't know whether they are right or not. |

Alex, Thanks for the information. Apparently my vehicle only required the software update so hopefully that will solve the problem.

Does anyone on here know if there is a way of finding out what software level is actually on a car - preferably without taking it to the stealer? |

I got the dreaded message and warning light today. I have a MY2011 and it falls within the range you identified Alex. I called in the dealers and they are so busy they can't book it in until the 24th.
