And Honda servicing costs can be outrageous as well. Both cars are now done at an independent garage.

Incidentally, my neighbour has worked for Landrover for the last 18 odd years as a mechanic, FL2's are THE most reliable Landrover ever made.

I test drove the FL yesterday and it was immediately more engaging to drive. I'm going back today to finalise the deal, hopefully.

Our MX5 was in for its 2 year service yesterday and the dealer not only wanted £215 to replace a tyre but £27 for a single wiper blade. No don't bother mate I'll sort it out myself. Wiper twin pack bought for a tenner and tyre on order for 140 quid. Stealers indeed.

I'f lay off for a couple of months until the winer is a memory and prices drop. I know mine went up about 1.5k in the last month. It will drop back down after the Winter.

I thought that about prices but I am an impatient b****r and want it NOW! Unfortunately I will have to wait until March but if you are more patient than me then waiting until the spring might not be a bad idea.

I did consider waiting but I'm trading in a car which is going to be at least 600 quid less in March, plus it's due it's 3yr service and MOT at the start of Feb so I think any gains in discount would be pretty much evened out.

I'm happy anyway.
