I think he means a locking wheel nut KEY?
You can buy them from the dealer to fit exixting nuts, they may be able to identify yours via your vin no. or take a photo of your nut and compare with the data base for the correct one.

checked the little compartment at the side of the boot?. I got a locking nut key number when I got the car, its now stuck on my V5 for safe keeping

Things normally turn up. I lost my ford ranger keys over xmas, Instead of owning a 4x4 'wonder' car, I owned a 2 tonne road block and constant reminder of my failings Confused . The keys turned up in the pages of a desk diary (dont ask Confused ).

The local ford dealer was most helpful, his words went something like "there is nothing we can do sir, good bye"

luckily it wasnt locked so we were able to undo the hand brake and move the pile of junk when it was in the way.

The keys disappeared when we had guests over on boxing day, and re-appeared just after the same guests left after revisiting for new years eve.
Maybe dangerdave is right and I have no friends, or one of our friends kids took the keys and the parents were too shy to admit to having had them all that time???? At work

Iirc it's more expensive to buy the locking key

Buy a full set of nuts and key instead, I'm sure the dealer will take exsisting ones off FOC Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
