I thought it was ice but it's all defrosted now and rattle still there. Seems to be worse when it's cold so might have something to do with different amounts of contraction / heat expansion.

Same noise here, but my garage is heated. Mine appears when it's below freezing, and I'm driving on slightly bumpy roads. |

I started to experience a similar rattle when the weather turned cold last November. As others have said, it is only heard when driving on bumpy or slightly bumpy roads. Strange thing is it doesn't occur until after I've been driving the car for about 20-30 minutes. By then the interior has warmed up. Not sure where the sound is coming from but it is definitely from the rear and sounds like it could be related to the rear sunroof or windows. I have checked all of the glass -- windows, sun roofs -- and everything seems very snug. Can't figure this one out at all and it's getting to be very annoying. |

I recently cured an annoying rattle which sounds v similar but seemed to only sound loud in cold weather! Also, in my case opening sunroof didn't help stop it.

Had this on my old 59 Reg FL2. But only when traveling on gravel tracks, It was the sunvisor vibrating against the headlining, pushed it down, pretended it was sunny, and when I got back on the tramac I just pushed it back up! Current: Freelander 2 GS, Orkney Grey, Factory fit privacy glass, design pack and Clearview pack. Almond Leather ,rear spoiler, rear mudflaps.my13.

Replace the clips that hold in the alarm sensor assembly and this should solve the problem.
