FL1 Question

As know some of you boys run Freelander 1's perhaps you can help.

My stepdad got one for crimbo - an ES 3 door on an 02 plate.

Whilst its mint it does seem to pull slightly to the left so he took it in for the tracking to be done.

Anyway on the ramps the fitter showed him some play in the rear diff and there was 3 rubber grommets?? around it that he claims need replacing.

Complete tosh or is this a know fault?

Cheers.

Hi mate

Its actually an MOT failure, two of the rubber mounts are easy to replace but the third above the diff is a complete Censored , and takes a bit of time and patience. I think they cost me £70, the hard to replace one being the dearest.

Also if they are badly gone it could wreck your diff.

Hope this helps WAMMG

Its just called the freelander diff mounts, if you go on youtube and type in Freelander 2001 v6 diff mount you will get a guy there showing you how to do it.
