Correct, some idiots get blinded by the trade in value for thier own car and not the deal as a whole.
Also the number of times I've been speaking to people and they have based the decision of which make of car to buy on how much that particular dealer offered as a trade in Shocked

No blinding by trade in values for me, as it has never figured when I buy a car. My process has always been the same. Fancy one of those, can I afford it? If yes, buy it, if no don't buy it... Simple really. The interesting thing was that a main LR dealer offered less for one of their cars than another. LR dealers are able to command higher prices so their mark
Up is higher. Just don't understand the logic. Anyway, I bought the Audi and sold the car to LR. Why? Because I couldn't give the issue of the car that I had to another dealer. Simple things in life have always been true and if you dump on someone, it will always come back and land in your lap one day. For Land Rover, it was about a week. Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...
