Try dismantling the key, and manually locking the car. Other than that I'm afraid I can't be of any help Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

I reckon they will disconnect the battery briefly to reset the system.

Hi ASM Charge the battery up full. Sounds like one of these quirks that happen with a battery at less than 40% charge. It will crank the engine no problem, but the electronics can play up at odd times. Charging the battery should always be the first step. thanks, will try the battery first. Annoyingly, after trying for an hour or so myself, it started straight away for the AA man! He didn't do anything different. |
