Dare I say that you might need to add some 2 stroke oil, Whistle

All i can think of is leaking vacuum hose, temperature sensor/connection or throttle valve sensor/connection

Used to be called engine 'hunting' (when I used to get my hands dirty for a living Very Happy )
Tried a quick google for you and some say injectors, lambda sensor/cold start sensor but most say c Censored p fuel i.e supermarket but I know you don't use that (Or I thought you didn't Question ).
Ours hasn't run for two days and took about 3 seconds to fire up after pressing start earlier this morning (Shell fuel saver on test Whistle )

looks too rhythmic to be hunting... it looks to me like its coming from the ecu... i.e. the black box is telling it to do that! It might be some weird LR way of telling you, you have a fault with something.... I seem to remember my dad had a similar thing with the new micra some years ago, the mechanics were baffled until some japanese computer boff said that it was an error with the throttle pedal Shocked Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

Mine did that once when I started in winter and was cleaning the snow off.

It sounded like an old diesel truck ticking over with a louder rev every 20 or so.

Hasn't happened again Thumbs Up

Nigel,
I'm with you regarding oil added to the tank.
Your motor should run fine no matter what; no magic potion will correct the problem.

A trip to the dealer methinks Big Cry
