Thanks for that. LR dealer has recommended one new tire at £200, tracking and wheel alignment for all four corners - about £250 total.

from what i read, IIRC tracking and alignment is about £100 at the dealers, and places like kwik fit cant do it

I had my tracking done at ATS when having two new front tyres. As I recall about £50. |

Okay, they did the new tire, tracking and alignment of all wheels.

I am sure what you meant to say was '75% of the central part of the tyre' i.e. you can't have the outer quarter below 1.6mm. Just for the sake of accuracy and 'cos we hang on your every word. ![]() |

Current tread depth legislation requires that car tyres must have a minimum of 1.6mm of tread in a continuous band throughout the central three-quarters of the tread width and over the whole circumference of the tyre.

Doubtful it's pot holes - tyre wear on the inner edge is caused by either tracking toeing out or, and possibly more likely, by the ![]() Your supposed to drive with one tyre on the flat road and the other side tyre over the highest point of the bump which actually will do less damage than crusing over the lump at 'ramming speed' ![]() |
