I'm getting my LR2 TD4 A HSE in about two weeks.... My dealer told me yesterday that the car has just left the factory in UK monday. It has been ordered by the end of may. I was just wondering if someone knows about when it has been manufactured.

I'm asking you this question because I've seen the "leather seats" issues, the "software" issues... from early LR2 versions.
As I'm not sure my dealer will software upgrade "automatically" my car, I'd like to know if you guys are thinking that my car will be uptodate.

I ordered my TD4 SE Auto in late May too, and took delivery in late July. I think it was built within a week or two of the delivery date. As far as I can tell, all s/w updates are present. This car is brilliant.

You don't have to guess about the manufacturing date.

It is stamped on a plate that's attached to the door frame (visible when you open the front door).

I note that the writer is based in Demark.Does the door plate apply to export vehicles only

The vehicle build date is shown on the tyre pressure label, attached to the right front "B" post.

Just looked again on mine ..... no build date on my tyre pressure label which is on left front door edge. There is a build label nearby on the lower door surround, giving various weights and an id no. (maybe the chassis no), but no build date that I can see!  Life is not a dress rehearsal!

I think I've found mine. On fns door pillar a black rectangular label states e11/2006 . Assuming its November 2006. Although I purchased in July its probably correct. The dealer stated it was alaunch car with adaptive Zenon and Privacy glass.

I don't think so "Retired". That label reads e11/2001 on mine!!!  Life is not a dress rehearsal!

That's strange.

Maybe as someone mentioned - it's just fitted to Export markets (concerning import date & taxation value).

Anyway - it's a pretty reasonable type of question to ask your dealer.............

not all export markets then, I can't find a production date there


or maybe Belgium belongs to the commonwealth without me knowing it
