Welcome on board, I did the same had a X Trail for 5 years and then went for a FL2 . X Trail did everything I asked of it, but was to heavy on the juice and it was either a new diesel one or something else, glad I went with the FL2 defiantly a step up. |

Welcome, honorary Northerner. The FL2 is a very different (read 'superior') machine to the X-trail.

It is a different car altogether, the XTrail did all I asked of it albeit in a "tractorish" way and served me well but the Freelander 2 is superior in comfort, ride, noise levels, ride height, just about everything really. Long may it continue.
