Continental Cross Contact UHP

Hi there,

I have a set of Continental Cross Contact UHP ( 235/60/18 ) tyres which I am thinking of getting again (not much tyre choice in this size).

They are great on the road, but have anyone got any experience with them off road?

I'm not looking at major off-roading, just sand and light off-road use.

I would go out and try out the ones I have, but they are so worn, I wouldn't get the same result as I would with new ones with a nice deep tread.

I have the same tires, 2nd set after Pirelli scorpion zero. They are excellent on road, but disappointing off road. They cope well with gravel and OK with sand, but they have problems with mud and they are unacceptable with snow.

Excellent on road and little noise. Light off-roading is ok, if you get in the tough stuff (mud) then you're screwed, as I have discovered.

Thanks for the replys.
I think I'll get a new set of these and, hopefully down the line, I might get a set of 17"'ers I can put off road tyres onto.
Just don't tell the Mrs Wink

PS: I'm not expecting to drive these in the snow. Not in Western Australia anyway Cool
