If any one is thinking of fitting the Side Steps or Tubes and are concerned about the Rivnut they could try this

Well I fitted a set of side tubes today, it took about an hour and a half for the first side and about 30 minutes for the second, I found the worst bit was removing those six retaining screws/clips from each side and then finding where I'd left my socket set, before and after pics in my gallery, I was going to take some as I was going along but got carried away. |

Rivnuts were a piece of cake, I found a ratchet rivnut gun lying around at work in the r&d department and those little round plastic thingies kept popping out and rolling under the car but got them back eventually. |

Rivnuts were quite simple even without the proper Rivnut Setter. Got to agree with CG on the "Tricky Little Suckers" probably the most time consuming part, also with vectis on the time one and half hours for the first then 30 mins for the second. Fitted a lot easier than I was led to believe glad I didn't pay for it to be done. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |
