I assume this absolute danger of which you speak constitutes the possibility of alienating myself from a subsection of a subsection of another subsection of the population since I don't consider soap operas as a positive influence. |

Yes and No Yes alienation, in that intelligent women (read - academic plus social prowess) are distinctly averse to snuggling up with a box of Milk Tray, a Baileys and Kleenex to bypass real time immersed in soap time. These ladies share your antipathy towards urbanized pathos. No, in that you technically have misconceived your journey to alienation, i.e the wrong flow path. Schematically you must first disembark from a "section" to get to the division thereof called a "subsection", once there you can proceed by subdividing again to get to the technical position known as a "structural element" (being your proposal of the thrice subjunctive subsection), which, being the "structural element", would accurately represent that segment of the population that you believe you will alienate. Recommended reading for further clarification on technical paths see: Stanford University Papers 27/1/2006 Jennifer Widom and Strunk & White's "The Elements of Style" ISBN: 020530902X |
