You need to purchase a proclip suitable for your Freelander but very easy to fit - literally 2 mins to fit the proclip on my freelander. I purchased the unit that goes on the left of the centre console and it is perfect for using my sat nav on the iphone.

There are a number of holders some of which will accept an iphone with a cover.

I am selling my holder as I have just purchased another one which allows the power cable to be permanently attached.

I fitted THIS Proclip just last week, as already mentioned just 2 minutes to fit and didn't need the sticky pads as it clips in pretty tight.
There are a few designs for the FL2 from the same manufacturer, but I found this design to be the best for my purposes and it wasn't obscured by the steering wheel and didn't foul the glove box. As already mentioned by Dave make sure you get the right swivel mount for your particular phone.

I use the Brodit 'pass through' hold I bought for my 3GS holds it fine Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
