FLII colour

Stornoway Grey metallic - looks classy and stylish but still decent.

Maybe we stornoway grey FLII owners have been intrigued by the FLII catalogue, which shows the Landy II mostly in stornoway grey.

I still like this colour and would order it again.

Before planning to move I almost purchased an M3 in that lovely greeny yellow colour (Phoenix yellow), which is not everyones cup of tea, but it certainly was mine and different.......Think I might still look to buy one when I move to go next to the Grey LR (One for the day and one for the night Twisted Evil).

Stornoway

Decided on a Stornoway Grey LR2 for a few reasons, not the least of which was that my wife and I loved our short stay in Stornoway after getting married in the Scottish highlands. The Isles of Lewis and Harris are hauntingly and enchantingly beautiful, with a rugged terrain that seems so appropriate for a Land Rover color.

Oh, and it stays cleaner in NYC! Smile

It is stylish but I personally decided not to buy it because the car gets kind of lost if you look at it from even a relatively small distance - the color is too close to asphalt's color. I was worried that drivers would not see me clearly when they change lanes and pedestrians when they cross roads.

It's the only time I'd be able to drive an M3, because I am pretty certain it would not like many of the customer sites I go to......and even worse is that it would be the wife-to-be's car! Shocked

The M3 would reallybe for me, but I am not sure when I'd get to drive it, and all the lady wants is an old pick up truck (YES, really!!). I cdon't think I could live with her driving a much faster car than me, that I also pay for! Mr. Green

If my other half had her way we'd be getting only pink cars from now on....... Big Cry

I'm now struggling to pick a second car out for the Mrs (When we move and she gets her license)...should I go luxury sports for me to enjoy, a little cheap run around (Golf or something, as she will not use it that much, and she will only have just learnt to drive), or as she wants a large pick-up truck....decisions decisions......

I could not subit my vote! Shocked Caspian Blue was not here to vote for! Shocked Shocked

Shame on you! Evil or Very Mad

Also, what a terrible misspelling of Narvik Black! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Narvik is a small town in Northern Norway, so I am a little impressed that LR names a color after such a small town, that is not exactly the center of the earth. Surprised 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

It is a tribute to The Battle of Narvik.
A navel battle in the Ofotfjord between Royal Navy and German Kriegsmarine
and a land battle between Norwegian, French, British and Polish troops against German and Austrian mountain troops from April 9 until June 8, 1940.

A guess:
Because Tonga is one of five members of the Commonwealth that have their own monarch,
and the only monarchy among the island nations in the Pacific Ocean.
Question
