Regarding snow chains, will you need them, nothing the last winter brought was a problem around Aylesbury, you will be surprised how capable your Freelander is |

I managed to get some Land Rover spike spiders from Ebay, don't know if I will need them but they will be in the car just incase the weather turns bad (always handy when shift working).

I guess that I live near to you and can say with confidence that, if the winter is no worse than last year then you will be fine. To avoid congestion I commuted across Asheridge Common and through The Lee / Gt Missenden in the worst of the weather and didn't have any issues at all. Just use the TR dial and you'll be fine! It was nice to be one of the few cars on the back roads and lanes! James |

In the manual - Spikes Spiders for front wheels only. Don't think you can use any other type of chain. Didn't need anything last year though and our estate was like an ice rink. It was nice to be one of the few to be able to escape, and that was on OEM Wranglers. |

If you have the right tyres (WINTER not ALL YR MS) the FL2 4WD (not the new MY2011 2WD) with the aid of the TR and a driver who knows how to drive in the snow & ice will get you out of whatever winter weather the UK throws at you.
