heated door mirrors

hi ihave just bought a freelander 2 gs auto and wondered if the heated door mirrors should feel warm when you touch them as mine do not so i wondered if they were faulty as on my previous car a freelander 1 they were warm when i touched you mirror glass

But only if the temp is below... I can't remember the figure, but I'm sure it's in the manual. We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!

Dunno, but in the cold, the steam comes off them. Never tried fondeling them mind you.

England 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey

On my 07 GS they only worked after pressing the PROG button, despite the handbook saying they required no driver intervention.

Dont they work off the front or rear screen heaters? Can't remember which one, probably the back one as not everyone has the front one. Can't think I've ever pressed a button to activate them.
