An early version of the ECU firmware that I had on my MY56 used to occasionally cause starting problems similar to that. Hasn't been an issue with subsequent updates. If you have an early model with old firmware, it could be that? |

It's an 08MY and it's never done it before. It definately was a relay coil pulling in and out several times a second. |

Faulty starter button - there is a previous post on the subject, identical symptoms. Took a LR dealership 10 days to find it in association with LR Technical Department. |

steering lock landing in the wrong place can cause problems too, easing the wheel round releases it, just like normal cars when the key wont turn due to the lock At work |
