Did James (LPR) not say that dealers do NOT have a central conputer system?? LR may have a note about the claim on their own head office system-but maybe the dealer didn't process it that far? |

Spoke to a LR dealer about it and yes, some information is visable. It arose when I'd had work carried out by another LR dealer on warranty and it needed to be done again. The second dealer asked me what exactly had been done. I told them I didn't know, adding they would be able to see on their computer. The reply was that yes, they could see, but not to the detail I'd be asked. The first instance I'd spoken about where I overheard the discusion was definately about the fault I'd taken to one dealer then the next. Neither dealer I'd had purchased the car from or even the same group! In honesty, it would seem strange that they can purchase on the LR dealership network nationally, tell what cars to the n'eth detail various non affiliated branches have, but not have at least some of the warranty claims to particular vehicles displayed. Anyone says less than that is not being candid I m afraid. |

Sorry I've been a long time coming back. Happy to report my faith has been restored and my faulty windscreen has been fixed despite what my Local Dealer said. A thorough inspection revealed no chips that could be seen with the naked eye.

I have had this problem, The first was changed under warranty which lasted a month before it packed up. This was down to the wiring rubbing on the wiper linkage and braking the wires,

TH White in Swindon - top marks! They're changing my windscreen with no quibbling; I'll get it back on Monday with a new radio as AM wasn't working. Test Match Special is back on the agenda! |

I had 3' crack along the windscreen of my other LR and had to wait a few days for the replacement screen. Guess what? The front screen heater still worked, the crack grew a bit with the heat, but that was all. what crap, name and shame the dealer. |
