FL2 to RRS, but when?

Planning to do the natural evolutionary step and gun for the RRS as next vehicle. Any knowledge how much legs the current version has and when a new model will arrive? 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

the new model RRS MY2011 has really only just been launched so its a safe bet that nothing major will change that soon.

The 4.4 TDV8 has just been launched in the FFRR, there is talk of that heading down to the RRS, but that depends if your happy with the 3.0 TDV6, as they have stopped the old TDV8 in September.

Obviously you may have different engine options etc were you live Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks! What is the generally accepted longevity for the current model? I assume the model runs for 6, max 8 years? 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

I've just come the other way. The new revised RRS as said was introduced in Sept '09. Cracking car. The new Ford sourced 4.4 TDV8 intro'd on the new FFRR will not fit the RRS so don't hold your breath.

Jaguar run their 3.0 TDV6's in 2 power set ups, there is word that LR will introduce a higher output 3.0 TDV6 RRS, to fill the power void with the demise of the 3.6 TDV8 RRS. No word when/if.

Interesting. Why did You come the other way? I have a friend who just came from Disco to FL2 and another who is mulling to go from Cayenne GTS to FL2. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

Me: FL1-Mk2FFRR-Mk3FFRR-D3-Mk2RRS-FL2! Laughing

Why jump out a new RRS? Well drove it for 8 months, was offered what I paid and didn't nned such a huge car. The FL2 is a bit small, but word is that LR are eyeing a RRS smaller than the current one but bigger than the FL, so thats what I am really after. The Evoque looks tiny inside, No thanks........ 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto
