It's a great option at £250 I think on the GS. I bought my GS new in April and insisted that they find me one with cold climate pack. Huge frost the other morning was soon sorted. The cold climate pack adds heated windscreen and washer jets neither are standard fitting. Once the screen was clear I noticed the ice melting on the bonnet around the washer jets. Great feature. XS and HSE get the added bonus of heated seats. I wasn't worried about this option though cos a good few farts soon warms things up ![]() LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |

Do you think there's a cheap and easy way to fit heated washer jets? |

When I lived in Germany a few years back you could buy a metal coil-shaped thingy that u slid over an engine coolant hose near the radiator and then fitted in-line into your washer jet fluid pipe. Of course this did not give you 'heated jets' but, once the engine was warm, gave you heated washer fluid. Only cost a few DM but never seen it in the UK though. |

The heated jets are ok, but not great when it gets properly cold! Last winter when it was -6/-7, the jets didn't defrost for about 15-20 mins... Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again... |

Our heated screen washer jets proved themselves at minus 27°C last winter. Maybe you should get yours tested, and/or put proper winter screen-wash fluid in your container, one that's at least rated down to -20°C, and, do not dilute it with anything just to save a few pennies. |

Tesco's often have a promotion on for The Doctor's seat warmer though. |

The environment is not the problem. The problem is the extra wear you'll put on your engine when starting it and letting it idle in cold weather!
