Sat Nav query

Having now grasped how to work the LR Sat Nav and using it more regularly, I find it quite often warns me of "slow moving traffic ahead". This would be quite useful if it were actually true. In almost all cases it isn't! Rolling Eyes

So do you reckon this is a sat nav fault, or is it more likely to be out of date traffic info being beamed to the unit? Confused

Hi Mate,

seems to be marginally out of date, I always view the route ahead using the coloured warning arrows and 'incident' stars which are pretty relable. Give it a few hundred miles and you start to gauge what the sat nav deems as slow traffic, queueing traffic or 'you ain't going no where traffic'. Add to that the radio traffic info and you begin to build a prteey good picture. Just do not reroute at the first sign of trouble though, otherwise you will never get to your destination, you will just keep driving around the traffic, which in the FL2 is just the excuse we need Laughing Thumbs Up

I think some of the slow moving traffic ones are perminantly there due to road works, then ones they have finished digging up the road they will be removed.

I don't use the auto re route option I like to have the oppotunity to avoid the traffic, as sometimes it takes you round the houses to get to the destination.

I like it, but wish I could put my speed camera database on to it though that I had with my Navman.

It's down to the quality/validity of the data - you'll find exactly the same with any system that uses the RDS or GPRS service, in the UK they all get their data from one provider.
