What is the maximum continous power rating for the auxiliary Power Socket between the front two seats in amp's? It is not shown in the user manual, it only say that "only land rover approved accessories should be used".
I want to use a Engel chest fridge / feezer, drawing max 4 amps. Will this work?

It has a fuse of 15 Amps.
It is shown in the user handbook, page 210, fuse FA6 from luggage compartment fuse box...
So I believe that it can source up to this amperage.

Thanks for your input. Looked in the manual and is show the fuse as 15 amp for caravan fridge, but I was not sure if it is the same power socket.

I am going on a week trip in 10 days time, to a large game park and as the day temp is plus 40C I want to get a small compressor type cooler freezer for use during the day. Looking at the Engel MD14.

We experienced 36>40°C every day last July in the Ebre Delta National Park Spain and the FL2 powered our two cool bags/boxes no problem - lots of cool drinks and fresh foods. We had one connected to the boot socket and one to the rear centre console socket. No flat battery issues as we followed member's advice and unplugged the two units at night and took them into our overnight accommodation to hook them up to a power supply. You should have no problems. Have a great trip.

I replaced the 15A fuse of this socket by 20A
It was broken every time when I use my inflator.

Glad to see back we thought we had lost you.

Be careful how much electrical load is on the aux socket. The fuse is there to protect the wiring; not the electrical equipment pluged into it.
Electrical Design Engineers use a two thirds rule; ie. 15amp fuse is okay for a continious 10 amp load. This is so the fuse doesn't suffer from nuisance blow due to transient peak loads.

It's not wise uprate a fuse, all the short circuit testing with the electrical harness would have been done with a 15 amp fuse.

Feedback on my fridge / freezer.

I purchsed the Engel MD14 and had to travel home, just over 4 and a halve hours. I bought 4 steaks that was vacuum packed for test. Put the steaks in the cooler plugged it into the 12 volt power socket, set the cooler to max temp. and drove home. When I got home the steaks was 60% frozen, the ambiant temp during the was 38C. Everything works very well and I am impressed with the setup.
Also bought a battery saver that you plugin between the cooler and the power plug that cuts out the cooler when the battery drops below 11.9 volts.
