My trip to the Pinnacles, W.A.

I thought I would stretch the cars legs and go for a drive up to the Pinnacles from Perth via the newly completed Indian Ocean Drive. A total round trip of 460KMs (270Miles) and the car car went really well, so comfortable. I managed 10.4L/100 (approx. 27MPG) which I didn't think was too bad seeing I have the V6 petrol model. Drove on some really rough tracks along the way and there wasn't a squeak or a rattle at all from the car. Thumbs Up

Anyway here are some pics from the day:

I didn't go on the sand dunes this time around. Mainly because my stock road tyres hardly have any tread left and secondly I had no back-up in case I got stuck. I'm also saving a dune bashing trip up to Lancelin with my mates for another time.

I see that you are from West Mersea. I originally came from just up the road in Colchester!

Nice pics, the ones on sand looks really fun. 37 degrees? very hot at this time of the year.
Just a small note, it's not a V6, it's in-line 6 Razz

Which configuration is better is debatable. As far as I know, V6 were produced because if their size and shape, so they can fit into smaller cars. The design of an inline 6 is much simpler, that's why many such as BMW sticks with them. In terms of sound, I'm not too sure about the difference. I think the exhast system will play a bigger role there.
