now the hunting seasons almost here,im looking forward 2 some off roading in mid wales,read in the handbook that one should remove the grey plastic gaurd before going off road,i never done this in my other fl2,i removed it with a 50p coin and dont like what i saw,looking to flimsy and could easy be damaged,so i think i leave it on,... |

that guard need removing in order to attach a tow rope , its not great having to do it when the car is bogged so remove before you get stuck. or just a thought don't get stuck.

Scratching / damaging the thing is one thing but knocking it off and running it over making it useless is another! Not to mention how much a new one might costs!!

Get a Mantec guard fitted like off of the LR Experience FL2s.... Would get one myself but I'm not allowed. |

from my experience when I got stuck last time in mud, it took me about 15mins to actually get the towing hook onto the latch. The "plastic thingy" made it really difficult to work around the latch, esp when it's covered in mud. And it also catches a lot of mud underneath it. I'd remove it next time I go off road, but let's hope there's never a need to get towed! |
