Has anyone else had this issue?

July 2010 HSE with the DAB radio system. Occasionally I'll drive the car and notice that an FM station is playing instead, pressing the top left button that alternates between DAB1, DAB2, FM1 and FM2 now just alternates between FM1 and FM2. Nothing I do can get it back to DAB stations.

Occasionally I can get it to say 'searching for a station' or words to that effect but there is no indication that is a DAB station it is looking for and after about 30 seconds it returns to an FM station. This all happens locally in South London where there is an excellent DAB signal at all times.

If I power the car off and leave for a while, when I switch it back on DAB has re-appeared.

Does anyone else have this problem? I am having nightmares about some 18yo trainee mechanic ripping my new dashboard apart to try and fix this under warranty - and breaking loads more stuff in the process!

I think I've worked out a further symptom.

When I start the car, the hi-fi unit LOOKS like it is switched off, but it wasn't when I last stopped the car. If I try and power off and on I get the power on screens but then it keeps going to a blank screen like its turned off.

If I then press the FM button the radio comes on - but only FM. And then the problem persists, pressing the FM button toggles between FM1&2 and never gets to DAB. Thus it wasn't turned off - it was on DAB and not working (I think?)

After turning the car off and on a few times, the DAB option comes back.

Nope don't think so only the posh new models , try pressing your FM button a few times to see if it's there.

Just for info - our local dealer had the car for the last couple of days. They had to contact Land Rover 'Technical' and they recommended a hardware reset (which has lost all the sat nav settings and destinations) and then re-configuring the DAB radio.

We got her back tonight and so far so good! 2010 HSE Auto in Santorini Black/almond with xenons and privacy glass.
