Would agree with the weight comment, but the power one? Confused Steve N | 21MY Defender (on order) | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Tong Photos

I've uploaded some Freelander 2 orientated photos from Tong into the gallery here. Apologies for the lack of variety among the photos of the Freelanders taken, there was only one in my group.

Here are a few, the rest are in my gallery:

Edging down a slope too steep to reverse out... Every edge forward on tickover brought the wheels and the body a little bit closer to the tree, up to the point that, no matter which way the wheels pointed, we couldn't move forward without closing in on the tree.

Eventually it was tied up to a different tree to swing the back end out and give us a clear path through. Not a scratch on it Thumbs Up
Got quite close though!!!

nice pictures CY. Thumbs Up

As regards the submarine activities: did you clean the radiators afterwards ? If yes (which I hope) could you remove all the - dried- mud ? I guess this could be difficult without damaging the fragile fins.

All in the name of Science!

No Freelanders were harmed in the making of this gallery.

It went in to the shop today and had a light bar fitted couple of strobes and radio equiptment.
and was last seen at 100mph + to an emergency call out,

Bow down

Looks like you all had a thoroughly enjoyable day. I would have liked to have joined you, but I'm still stuck on a rig in the Gulf.
Hopefully next time, I'd like to try offroad with my FL2, although I'm slightly concerned the differential on my car might explode again Laughing Laughing
Not funny really, I still haven't had any satisfactory customer satisfaction from LR yet explaining why this premature failure happened. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
