........you can't be serious......?!

Does anyone have a full size spare wheel (eg 18" or 19") ?

I heard that they intrude upon the boot space, making it smaller - but surely this can't be true Question Exclamation

I expect that the free space beneath the boot floor is reduced when a larger wheel is stored there........ does anyone know for sure ?

I guess it's just another FL2 wind-up story.......... Thumbs Up

We have a full size spare on our Freelander & there's no impact into the boot space at all.

(or at least none I'm aware of anyway) “You feel uneasy, as the mad scientist locks the door behind you & dissolves the key in a vat of Acid”

Full size spare(235) on an 18 inch alloy on my HSE, and it fits OK.

The spare wheel well (bay) is sized to fit a full size spare, with additional space around it. That space is quite useful for some of those essentials that some of us like to carry; coats, tools, towrope etc. etc....

OK if there was no spare that would be a lot of extra space !!!

My spare is a black steel rim with a yellow speed restrictor sticker, but it has a full sized 235/65 x R17 tyre. So the space required is the same. why LR [Ford?] chose to penny pinch here i don't know.
