Upgrade of the OEM bluetooth?

Is there any upgrade for the original bluetooth connection.
I used to have a Samsung S8000 and that worked perfect with the car.
Now I have a HTC Desire with Android 2,2 and I have some huge problems.
It connects and syncs the phonebook.
Problem is that it only show numbers and strange letters.
Also first call works, but when I set up the second call it mutes the stereo, but places the call on the HTC. Sad
As of now I don't use the handsfree because of these problems. Big Cry
I have a 2007 HSE.
Any help is appreciated. FL2, TD4 HSE

Oh god please don't say this...........I have had no end of issues with the antiquated Freelander bluetooth ever since I have had it & have just ordered an HTC Wildfire to see if that is any better!!

My Freelander bluetooth still displays you are dialing a call even when you have hung up by pressing the "EXIT" button though I have to say this is only when the number is engaged.

I am so fed up with the system tha LR Customer Relations have sugested they may pay for a "Parrat" system to be fitted to my car!! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

OEM Bluetooth always seems to be a nightmare. Never quite understood why as it is supposed to be a standard format. I remember I had it in my 1 series and there were loads of people that had issues with it. None for me, I had an old Sony Ericson phone that was fully compatible, but when it came to upgrade, the numbers of "compatible" phones was really limited.

E.V's problems are pretty well documented on here. I have none of the issues that he has had and I am amazed that LR have not been able to fix them to E.V's satisfaction! Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

HTC HD2 - no problems at all both the original and custom ROMs. Was not able to make a voice dial though.
Real problem is missing Cyrillic characters on the display so I had to retype the whole phonebook

I have a HTC desire, also on 2.2 and have the same problem! My phonebook ia basically A, ö, ä, Aä etc and makes no sense whatsoever! The LR website says the phone is fully compatible, but doesnt list the 2.2 software update

http://www.landrover.com/microsites/GWS40M...tooth.html

Did you get a fix for this? Am getting very frustrated. My work blackberry works with no problems, but my own phone........AAARGGGHH!!

That statement now makes me laugh as a couple of months later when I spoke to a colleague of the guy who told me the above totally denied the statement & generally rubbished it & said LR would never do this lol. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

Not sure why you are all having so many problems.

HTC Wildfire running Android 2.2.1 links in to my MY11 FL with few problems - doesn't always connect first time might be because have my phone 'Hidden' but once connected no problems as far as I know. Last dialled, last received and phone book search no problem at all. There's always a way forward!

2011 Freelander Td4 GS 150 - Rimini Red - in its place - Better x far x 4!!
