oil change / replacement oil (Yamaha-fan ; can you help ?)

regarding recommended engine oil for the diesel 2.2 with dpf - any information about the suitability of Shell Oils - for example Shell Ultra Helix 5W-30 ?

Hi jimmy
please look into my post under "Technical" with the subject: List of recommended motor oils for FL2.
But to cut it short: there are a variety of 5W30 Shell Helix Ultra motor oils. If it must be a Shell oil you should look for a 5W30 Helix Ultra "E" (E = for emission). However, I would use the 5W30 Mobil 1 ESP oil, if I could choose (ESP = emission system protection).

Thanks for the info.

(I did see your earlier very informative oil guide - it's just that Shell Oils are widely available over here - whereas the others mentioned in your post are not ).
