LOOSE LEATHER STITCHING

Folks - my passenger arm rest has loose stitching on the end - where your hand would rest! It looks untidy - and I dont want it to pull any further. My wife helpfully said I should put some tape on the underside! any better ideas? Is this a recurring issue?

many thanks Rolling Eyes

It's a fault same as any other so yes, if it under warranty it should be repaired. However I am not sure how the average garage grease monkey is going to cope with a needle and thread Smile

Warranty aside the most important thing is to stop the thread unravelling any more than it has already. To do this find the two threads that make up the stitch and tie them together. Then find your uphosterer Laughing Prog rock is cool! Smile

Under warranty so they will replace, rather than repair... that may mean an entire new seat though Shocked

Of course LR will firstly look in to why the stitching has come undone.....

Have you been picking at it?
Have you caught it with a sharp item?
Have the kids chewed it?
Has the wife done it?

Only when they have a satisfactory answer to the above will they say Oh it might be our fault Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Many thanks folks. I will make the call to LR to follow up
