Junior thanks, do you know if i can change the front screen as a simple plug and play?

once again thanks. Thumbs Up

The stereo comes in 2 parts the main unit then the fascia panel is a seperate piece that I presume are changeable
once you have the fascia off, ring a dealer with the part number which will be on a sticker on the reverse Thumbs Up

Do you think the radio code is stored in the radio or in the front screen?

Thumbs Up

I was once told by a dealer they don't need a code but Mr pinks once wrote that they are coded to the chassis? ?
So not sure who's correct?

Most modern cars no longer have coded radios for a combination of reasons. Because they are integrated into the dash they are both harder to get out and will only fit in the same vehicle which makes them less saleable.

What Mr. Pinks is referring to is that some which are CANBUS compatible will verify the VIN stored in the ECU (or equivalent before they will turn on. I disconnected mine while investigating upgrade options and when I had fitted it all back together it did not ask for a code. If it uses the VIN check it does mean that you cannot even legitimately swap radios with recourse to a dealer with testbook. Prog rock is cool! Smile
