Leather steering wheel option

Is it possible to specify a leather steering wheel with a cloth interior?

When I look on the Land Rover site it comes up as an £80 option with no mention of needing to specify a leather interior. Yet a dealer told me it's not possible to have one without. Confused Andyfr

I wanted one on my GS but it has to be done at the factory for £80 if not its £400+ for the dealer to do it. But i reckon the dealer is wrong!! Wish I had of got it! Sad

Andy, I've sent you a PM. The info from LR curently is.............

Leather steering wheel now standard with all trims except cloth.
No longer optionally available with cloth seats.

Doesn't sound like this is what you want to hear, but hopefully clarifies on 11my.

Thanks for that.

I have been told that there are no 150 GS autos available until next year anyway! As I wanted to buy before the VAT increase and while my P/X is still worth a fair bit it looks like I will have to forget it for a year or 18 months. Andyfr

Again, I have PM'd you. Unfortunately the info from your dealer isn't correct. I have just carried out a test spec-change and could potentially get one for Nov. Only one of two that I can change this year though.

I still think it should be a standard item throughout the range.

James: are they still £400+ to have them fitted to a 2010 GS?

Thanks.

I would say that you are probably in the right sort of area at £400, however I've never had anyone who has asked for this to be retro-fitted.

I have specified a SD4 GS with leather steering wheel, salesman never said that it couldn't be done. But have to wait until november to get it.

I presume you have an order form detailing the breakdown of costs? How much is the steering wheel option priced at?

J77, according to the latest information it is not available. They may choose to retro-fit one when it arrives with them so as not to jeopardise your order, but sadly you can't order from the factory on 11my. Happy to send you the latest info if you PM me your email address.
