It has happened to me, A few times, I took it on the chin and sorted it out myself I didn't go in Tesco asking for the CCTV footage or Demanding the Police drop the Important stuff they are dealing with to pamper me.

Maybe the possible list of suspects would be to long for the police to go through. Whistle

ok,, think i need to clarify here,,,i'm not talking about a little scratch,, i'm talking about being hit hard enough that the top of the door frame stuck out 2 inches,,, i could fit my hand between the window frame and the shell....

no where does it say that i demanded the police "drop the important stuff" to pamper to me,, i reported it,, as i am entitled to, i actually phoned my brother to see if i should first,,, the police then took it upon themselves to come to the scene and deal with it..

i have also never implied the world revolves around me,,,i think i understand the job the police have AND the pressures they are under,,, there are 3 of them in my family...

junior... £1500 is £1500.. if it's only a few hundred pounds as you say then why you driving an S and not a GS...... Whistle

When all is said and done the (overstretched) police wouldn't do anything anyway they have got bigger fish to fry as demonstrated by their not so in-depth investigation.

All I am saying is nobody died, claim on your insurance and say good bye to a few hundred quid and don't give yourself an heart attack worring about it Thumbs Up

P.S. Enough of the model snobbery

I believe if you report something to the police they are obliged to investigate it within 6 months

The police are there for anything that is an offense wether that's theft of a pence chew, damage to a car door, or anything that is there responsibility Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Wheras I have some sympathy for the police they don't help themselves.

At the local chippy and the pub next door had a lone drunk they wanted out, 4 coppers and 2 police cars to do it!

On the A12 a simple tail end shunt, 3 traffic cars attended and none of them delt with the traffic!

Sensible management of resources would go a long way to help the problems Very Happy Prog rock is cool! Smile

Maybe it's the police in blackpool that can't be arsed as there too busy dishing out £80 public order tickets to stag and hen do's to do any serious policing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

In an unprovoked attack by a gang of yobs a friend of mine was slashed across the face and had numourous bottles and glasses smashed on him as he lay hudled on the floor, This was in the doorway of a pub that has CCTV as part of the terms of its licence due to it being a trouble spot-the Landlord said 'sorry the tape had run out' and the barmaid said she knew the people involved but wouldn't name them.
The police said sorry no evidence-they have so much to deal with and targets to meet and Rightly or Wrongly they don't bother with stuff that is potentialy going to take them away from other matters with a better chance of a conviction,
It's just the way things are these days you can all quote the law and the Highway code etc. but things have changed since you lot read your beano's and dandy's.
