June 2008 MY 2009 HSE TD4 Auto Silver 12000m Value Please

I am considering letting go my MY2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE in Silver with 12000 Miles only. FSH with Side Steps.

Really really great Condition. Dealers have offered 22K cash buy back I think this is far to low and at that price may hold on a while as cost 34K only at end of june 2008. 2nd Service in just carried out and Taxed till June 2011. What do you guys think it is worth based upon age mileage and condition ? none

21k via webuyanycar so 22k seems reasonable. without being patronising, you are unlikely to recoup your outlay to the degree you want. Cars depreciate, new models come out, money is tight and your selling for cash. Sorry, but they haven't built the car that doesn't depreciate.

I know you paid 34k for yours, but I got mine at the same time for under 30k. You have to shop around. Getting 22k based on 30k isn't so bad. I can see your point of view, but unfortunately what can you do? If youre going to sell do it now before the revamped 11MY's and the new Baby LR comes out. You'll get even less for it!

I would agree, if you are being offered 22K take it now.

Hi Davidisom - try the guys at www.ongarbridge.co.uk - they seem to sell one hell of a lot of Freelander 2's and having spoken to them when I was in process of shifting my FL1, they appear keen to get hold of late low mileage Land Rovers.
I have no commercial interest in this company just offering info that might prove of interest and financial benefit to other forum members.

Good luck with the sale - it looks a very good buy for typically what you have been offered bearing in mind its age, mileage and ongoing warranty.

Davidisom, reason why mine was a year old when I bought it. 30-35% in a year is a big whack, but about par for the course. My 1 series cost 24,000 and BMW offered me 13,600 after 18 months. (Nearly 44%!)

Your only other option is to try an sell it privately. (Which is in my opinion, hell on earth...) Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

£22k sounds about right, although I would give you a little more if it was in part-exchange for another before the middle of September as it's a nice mileage.

So I got a bargain paying £21k for a 2008 HSE with 800 miles on the clock from a dealer 12 months ago.
No wonder he wouldn't budge on the price - I just thought I was useless at haggling.

A year ago, people were picking up new GS's for 18k - WITH extras!

Makes you want to weep, but it's supply and demand. It will turn again when we double dip and no I am not kidding, it will happen.

From discussions on another site it seems they may have gone to Harwoods at Pulborough. Not that I've been looking at G4 vehicles Whistle Have to be a dream for now at the price they're fetching.

Not guilty! Both were several thousand £'s more that I would have paid. We have sold a few G4's all of which were later, lower mileage and cheaper. To be fair they are supposed to be tge last ones that LR Had.
